YES! I was just thinking along these same thoughts after I finished the same book on my Kindle. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was so good that I wanted to share it with friends, but obviously I'm not willing to share my Kindle. So I went and ordered a hard copy. I agree, they ought to offer a discount if you've paid for the Kindle version.

As it was for me, I felt the book was so good that I didn't mind paying for it twice.

Beth, So sorry to hear about your Kindle. I am sure Amazon will take care of it asap. They have fabulous customer service and I know they want their Kindle users to be happy (and buy books :) ).

Not a book-killer. I've had my K2 for three weeks now, and the screen went bad last night. :'(
I'm terribly disappointed - I love my Kindle, but now it's totally useless.

Hey bridgett- I totally agree on the suggestion that Amazon make offers to us for hard or softcover versions of books we've bought on the Kindle and Kindle books we've bought in hard or softcover. It's only fair. It makes total sense. Of course, Amazon isn't the only decision-maker, the book publishers would need to agree and perhaps the authors as well. But doesn't it just make perfect sense? That way you can keep collecting AND enjoy the benefits of portability that the Kindle provides.
