I was just thinking along these same thoughts after I finished the same book on my Kindle. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was so good that I wanted to share it with friends, but obviously I'm not willing to share my Kindle. So I went and ordered a hard copy. I agree, they ought to offer a discount if you've paid for the Kindle version. As it was for me, I felt the book was so good that I didn't mind paying for it twice. YES! I was just thinking along these same thoughts after I finished the same book on my Kindle. It's only fair. It makes total sense. Of course, Amazon isn't the only decision-maker, the book publishers would need to agree and perhaps the authors as well. But doesn't it just make perfect sense? That way you can keep collecting AND enjoy the benefits of portability that the Kindle provides.
